Millet’s new Italian site

Millet announces the launch of a new site dedicated to the consumer Italian for an increasingly customized shopping experience

Following the opening last January of stores in Turin and Bolzano, Millet is now introducing its branded e-commerce-already navigable in French, English, German and Spanish-also in Italian.

The goals are to strengthen the brand’s proximity, personalize the shopping experience, and consolidate the link with the community of athletes and vertical enthusiasts who find in Millet and its equipment proposals a reference point for tackling the mountains in total freedom and safety. The Italian site is designed to tell the story of the brand’s DNA and its sustainability journey. The focus is on the quality and technicality of products and equipment in order to support the consumer in choosing garments.

At the launch, the centerpiece of the platform is Intense Shoe, the first trail running shoe designed by the 100% Made In France brand. Only last spring the French vertical brand was making its entry into sky running with the Trilogy Sky line and trail running with the Intense collection. Trail running, sky running, mountaineering, ski mountaineering, hiking, climbing, as well as leisure and outdoor lifestyle, the Italian platform hosts a wide range of products. Each product has dedicated sections with detailed data sheets and care tips, offering a simple, clear and transparent customer experience.

“In this important phase of the brand’s development in Italy, we have decided to invest in e-commerce dedicated to the Italian consumer, an operation that, in synergy with our stores and specialty stores, will allow us to strengthen our presence throughout the Italian territory,” – declares Hervé Sergio Locatelli, Sales & Marketing Director of Millet Mountain Group for Southern Europe – “After the opening of the Turin store last January, we believe it is essential to get closer and closer to our consumers by guaranteeing them the best possible service, from a physical and virtual point of view.”

The launch of the e-commerce dedicated to Italian consumers reinforces the brand’s commitment to this country that has always been very close and very connected to its history. From working with Walter Bonatti to working with Reinhold Messner, who chose the iconic Millet backpack for the first ascent in history of Everest without oxygen, to the more recent collaboration with the Matterhorn Mountain Guide Society.
