Nitro announces new collaboration with Burton
Nitro Snowboards and Burton together to launch two new boot models for the 2022 season.
A new partnership to unite the snowboard community and get more people on the slopes. This is the goal of Nitro and Burton, who are launching two new models of Step On compatible boots for the new 2022 season.
“We have developed and sold several mechanical binding systems and compatible boots over the past three decades. – said Thomas Delago, co-founder of Nitro – While we have always strived for maximum performance and comfort for the rider, we also learned that too many different systems on the market could lead to confusion and unwanted inventory for retailers, rather than advance our sport. Therefore, we have decided that Nitro will not develop another platform, but rather team up with Step On to provide more choices for the rider and easier management for the retailer. We believe this is the best way to get more people into snowboarding and keep them riding.”
Burton’s Chief Product Officer, Chris Cunningham, also wanted to emphasize the satisfaction of this new partnership: “With the addition of Nitro, riders now have even more choices at their feet to find their preferred fit all while benefiting from the safety and confidence that Step On® technology provides. By expanding the compatibility of Step On® to brands like Nitro, we will undoubtedly bring even more riders to the sport we all love so much”.
The two models of boots created by Nitro are the Profile TLS Step On and the Cave TLS Step On, both of which are designed to offer maximum comfort, thanks to Nitro Fit technology, and to be innovative and high performance. Burton’s Step On technology also allows for a perfect fit that can be customised with any type of binding.
