Patagonia launches the film about Gerry Lopez, the surfing legend
This summer, Patagonia will launch “The Yin & Yang of Gerry Lopez,” the film about one of surfing’s greatest landmark figures.
Gerry Lopez is known for his calm temperament in tackling tube riding, building his career on aggressive surfing.
Lopez is one of the top surfers and surfboard shapers of all time, an entrepreneur, a family man, a movie star, and a huge yoga enthusiast. He has pushed surfing beyond new frontiers and now, for the first time, his story is being told on the big screen by Stacy Peralta, an award-winning documentary filmmaker and one of the most influential skateboarders of all time.
“The Yin & Yang of Gerry Lopez” will be screened in several surf-lover locations and European cities beginning July 14 and will be available online Sept. 22.
