Rab supports Cirque Series
The mountain running competition will start on July 16 encompassing 8 events in the US and Europe.
Rab, a brand owned by Equip Outdoor Technologies, will support Cirque Series, the mountain running event organized by skier and mountaineer Julian Carr. This year the series has eight stages, starting in Brighton, UT, on July 16; there will also be a European stage in Engelberg, Switzerland, on Sept. 24.
The uniqueness of the event lies in the redefinition of mountain running by including completely different stretches, towering peaks and steep descents. Some of Rab’s best trail running athletes will participate in the event, such as Amy David and Chris Fisher who holds last year’s Max Vert October Challenge record. This race, included in the Cirque Series, will challenge athletes to reach as much elevation gain as possible in October.
About the event, Annalee Loomer, Rab US marketing manager, explains, “We couldn’t be more excited about this partnership. As a mountain race for mountain people, the Cirque Series is perfect for Rab. It’s a place where people come together, don’t take themselves too seriously, and have fun being outdoors. It’s also a great opportunity to talk about our Skyline range for mountain running, designed to move quickly through the mountains.”
