Super comfortable freestyle bindings, the perfect weapon for those who like to get serious in the park

Rossignol Cobra test

If the choice of name is not coincidental, Cobras are bindings whose mission is to make freestyle pros push themselves. Much of the credit goes to Elasti-Back technology, which uses polyurethane with a hardness of 76 Shore instead of traditional Nylon: this allows for greater flex and elasticity to better tweak and absorb shock without giving in responsiveness. With an internal slope of 2 1/2 degrees, stresses are reduced, and it is easier to exert pressure on the tip and tail of the board, optimizing both leverage and pop. In short, Rossignol’s Cobras are the right bindings for those who like to get serious in the park: our score is highest for buttering and jumping: the constant boot-attachment contact results in both more precise execution in maneuvers, better shock absorption and smoother response. The detail that won us over is the asymmetrical shape of the spoiler, a mirrored reflection of the footbed seat, which, in addition to being a super cool style detail, maximizes the comfort of fit at any angle of placement and distance between one foot and the other. Hitching and unhitching is also super easy thanks to the strap with Spinal Cord technology, which conforms to the shape of the boot and allows the grip to be adjusted effectively and quickly.
