Salewa launches his new “Alpine Life School”

Two courses to learn how to see the mountains as a natural, sporting and cultural habitat.

In an increasingly wide panorama of alpine sports, the need for a guide has become fundamental. Salewa has responded to this need: from spring 2022 the Alpine Campus will open, a mountain school ready to welcome newcomers to the outdoors.

The aim is to introduce newcomers to the mountains, not only as a place to take people, but also as a cultural environment and a natural habitat, all in the beautiful setting of South Tyrol. The first participants will be welcomed with a ski-mountaineering and climbing course, each lasting three days.

The contents of the Alpine Campus will aim to inspire a new approach to the mountains, enabling all those enrolled to learn to better evaluate the mountains and the circumstances that arise in the Alpine environment, providing an important basis on which to make their own choices.

“The experience also focuses heavily on the sense of community, which we will develop not only by organising and planning individual activities in groups, but also by cooking together,” emphasises Thomas Aichner, Salewa’s marketing director.
