Save The Duck doubles in Milan

Save The Duck doubles in Milan

Save The Duck doubles in Milan and opens its flagship store in via Dante 3. And it does so exactly two years after the opening of the first single-brand store in via Solferino 12.

Goal: to celebrate the restart of the Italian economic capital post emergency Covid-19 and do it at best in what is one of the new nerve centers of shopping in Milan: Piazza Cordusio. “I am extremely satisfied with the result achieved and I invite everyone to visit our new single-brand store because I think it is absolutely in line with the Save The Duck credo” comments Nicolas Bargi, CEO of the brand that he designed in 2011 starting from his own ethical beliefs.

Team that wins doesn’t change. The same team contributed to the creation of the store in Via Dante 3, the same team that created the other three monobrand stores of the company: the first one located in Via Solferino 12 and the windows in Hong Kong and Venice, both opened in 2019. Project manager: the architect Caterina Frazzoni from DCMlab, specialized in design and construction management, who tells us: “After the development of a modular and flexible system from the exhibition point of view, which allows for rapid set-ups and the reuse of the elements, for via Dante we deepened the work on the materials, using a mortar based on natural lime and rice husk for the coating of the furniture and for the finishing of the walls a wall paint based on long seasoned pit lime and rice husk. We have therefore combined our recycled plastic ribbon with natural, 100% recycled and recyclable materials, aiming at a circular construction process sensitive to local supply chains, which minimizes the environmental impact of our stores”.

Sustainability, therefore. But not only. Because technology also plays and will increasingly play a key role in Save The Duck’s retail system. One example above all: the sales staff of Via Dante 3 is equipped with goggles made specifically for virtual remote shopping, aimed at enabling individuals to show in real time to potential customers comfortably seated on the sofa at home the garments on display in the store, discuss their characteristics, and to respond to all their doubts and/or curiosity. And again: as in the other stores of the brand 100% animal free in Via Dante 3, you can order and receive at home the garments of sizes and / or colors not present at the time of purchase or pick up what you bought in the e-shop renovated 100% during 2019 and now responsible for 5% of the turnover of the brand.

Save The Duck is aimed at a global target very sensitive to environmental and animal rights issues. Save The Duck literally means “save the goose”. And the logo is a carefree whistling duck. But all animals could “thank” Save The Duck because the company’s garments are 100% animal free and therefore do not use feathers, hides, furs and in general animal-derived materials/textiles.
