We couldn’t wait to have a product of the Ribelle family in our hands. The choice fell on the Ribelle HD, an intermediate option between the innovative Tech HD, an extreme boot devoted to performance, and the Lite HD, a model that stands out for the upper in technical fabric. Combined with a refined design and aggressive colorway, this version relies on a water-repellent suede upper with microfibre inserts. The Sock-Fit XT construction system amplifies the feeling of comfort offered to the foot (wrapped like a sock) by preventing lateral displacements during the use. The lacing, advanced at the toe, provides fast sliding lower rings and upper hooks for a homogeneous and progressive winding of the ankle. The result is a fit without constraints. The exterior is completed by a mighty PU Tech protective band that improves heel containment. The upper and sole come together in the Dynamic Tech Roll, a construction system designed to guarantee, in addition to an ergonomic fit, maximum synergy when walking and an extraordinary anti-torsion efficiency. The lining, made of 37.5 fabric made of active particles

that help maintain the internal temperature, is laminated with OutDry membrane to ensure a high level of waterproofing and thermal insulation eliminating any intrusion space. At the base there’s a PU midsole made of a low density front area, which facilitates the containment and absorption of shocks, and a medium density area in the heel that gives support and stability. Here the space with differentiated thickness for semi-automatic crampons also finds space. The sole, designed by Scarpa, uses a Vibram Mont compound, designed to guarantee performance and durability, even at low temperatures. Particularly hard, it slightly sacrifices the grip in favor of wear resistance. Its geometry is spread over three uneven areas: maximum grip on the front, thrust and traction on the outside, large braking areas in the central part. Medium mountain trails are its place. Definitely at ease on mixed sections in Dolomite environment and on particularly insidious rocky passages, where it shows all its stability. Ultimately, it is a modern boot limited to an audience (willing to spend) who loves to move quickly even where the trail ends. A top class product that repays expectations, reserved for advanced mountaineers or hikers who will be able to take full advantage of its features.
