Test: Nike Wildhorse 7

Test: Nike Wildhorse 7

A soft shoe to run following the flow even at high pace.

A shoe with an impeccable appeal and a refined design but with a lot of substance also for runners who pay little attention to aesthetics and more to functionality. The seventh version of the Wildhorse comes with a very comfortable fit, a spacious shape for the foot and a very soft and flexible upper. Classic lace-up fastening and a rather thin tongue complete the top part. The most interesting features, however, are found in the lower part of the shoe, in the midsole/sole compartment.

Already after covering the first few kilometers, you realize how the midsole is really soft but rather reactive. The feeling you get is the one of comfortable shoe at low pace, glued to the feet when running fast on trails and in the push phases. This active return feeling once the shoe has been launched will be appreciated by runners with good running biomechanics. The sole and tread are quite stiff. An inevitable choice to increase durability and avoid too early wear. The feeling when running the first few kilometers is very particular because there is a certain instability but that in reality it is only a matter of habit due to the fact that we are usually used to shoes that are either very soft or very stiff and rigid and this is certainly the most interesting aspect of Nike Wildhorse 7.

We Like: Comfortable even after many hours of use without losing reactivity.
