The first edition of the “PowPow Splitboard Festival” gets under way

Splitboard and safety on the snow will be the watchwords of the two-day event.

The first edition of the “PowPow Splitboard Festival”, dedicated not only to the world of splitboarding, but also to the importance of having a good education about safety in the mountains, especially on snow, will be held on the weekend of 18-19 December in La Clusaz on Col Des Aravis.
The event, which is open to everyone and completely free of charge, will be structured in three stages: Splitboard Intro, Snow Safety and Winter Camping.

In a completely free way, there will be the possibility for everyone, beginners and enthusiasts, to test splitboards and accessories. The test will be entirely supervised by qualified mountain guides and instructors who will help you understand the basics of this sport.
In addition, there will be small snow safety courses, organised in collaboration with Arva Equipment and CAF Annency, which will allow everyone to try their hand at simulated search operations.
The two-day festival can be experienced even more intensely by taking part in the winter camping; booking is compulsory and everyone is invited to bring their own tent and camping equipment. To be even better prepared for the night on the campsite, professionals will be on hand to give everyone advice on how to survive the cold.

Booking is compulsory for the safety course and winter camping.
