An attention that runs at different levels and for more than twenty years now, the Reda group has been paying attention, demonstrating a concrete and consistent commitment, which goes far beyond seasonal strategies, to be configured as a real corporate philosophy aimed at corporate responsibility. A consciousness from which the DNA of Rewoolution, launched in 2011 with the first collection of basic merino wool layers, certainly could not ignore.

 

B Corp certification

Since its inception, the brand has distinguished itself for its commitment to 360° sustainability, breaking with the traditional patterns of the fashion world. Tension culminated just this year in obtaining the B Corp certification, demonstrating the real will to be an example and promoter of a better way of doing business, in which sustainability is seen as a necessary means to ensure a more ethical business model, respectful of the environment and for the benefit of the community. Rewoolution, the first Italian and Made in Italy sportswear brand to receive certification, was recognized for its attention to the environment and its commitment to ensuring the best possible working conditions for all employees; the company was also considered virtuous for its initiatives aimed at reducing the gender gap and promoting inclusion and appreciation of diversity. The brand therefore shares with B Corp and the certified companies, the tension towards a form of ethical entrepreneurship that does not seek profit and profit in a foolish way but aims to reconcile it with respect for the environment, animals and employees.

 

Transparency and traceability

From raw materials to process efficiency, the key words of the supply chain that culminates with the production of a Rewoolution garment are transparency and traceability. The wool used is ethical and ZQ certified, i.e. produced with respect for the welfare of animals (who are free to graze in large open spaces and are not subjected to harmful practices, such as mulesing) and people; the raw material processing and fabric production take place in the Reda plants, since 2004 EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) certified, one of the highest guarantees in terms of sustainability of production processes and various other company components. The “journey” of each Rewoolution garment continues, but without going too far from the point of arrival, so much so that each product in the collections is packaged within a distance of 60 km from the brand’s headquarters.

 

Innovation and digitization

Attention to the environment is a feature that permeates all aspects of the company, going beyond production. In this sense, digitization plays a fundamental role, demonstrating a constant drive for innovation, which often goes hand in hand with more sustainable business choices. Starting next winter, Rewoolution will include NFC tags in all the garments of the collections, a tool for communication with the customer of the traceability of each individual product. Through these labels, those who buy will be able to know the “history” of the garment, going back to the breeding from which the wool comes. This innovation, aimed at increasing the transparency of the company, aims to bring the customer closer to the brand, with the ultimate goal of offering products that are more and more in line with the needs of consumers.
