Tones Nature Theater and the new Outdoor Vertical Stage project

The meeting of the Tones on the Stones Foundation and Ossola Outdoor Center gives birth to the Outdoor Vertical Stage project

What is Tones Nature Theater and how does it come about?

In 2020, as theaters around the world are forced to close due to the pandemic, a stone theater surrounded by nature called Tones Teatro Natura is born in the mountains of Ossola. The project combines the artistic roots of Tones on the Stones with the transformation of theformer industrial site of Cava Roncino into a permanent Theater immersed in Nature, through a path of profound environmental redevelopment.

The former Gneiss Quarry is located in Oira, a small hamlet in the municipality of Crevoladossola surrounded by forests, terraced vineyards and ancient stone-built villages of the Ossola Valley. The surrounding landscape is a tangible sign of the history of the area, which is deeply linked to stone quarrying and processing. The Tones on the Stones Foundation has always chronicled and enhanced this historical, economic and cultural heritage in order to preserve it over time.

Tones Teatro Natura, opened in 2022, is now a space dedicated to culture, territory, and young citizens to whom it proposes a bold vision for building a better and more sustainable future for all, based on the principles of Agenda 2030 and the European Green Deal.

The meeting of the Tones on the Stones Foundation and Ossola Outdoor Center.

The meeting of the Tones on the Stones Foundation and Ossola Outdoor Center gives rise to a major new project that comes to life in 2022 and ends in 2023. Joining forces and in a communion of purpose, in fact, within Tones Teatro Natura was born Vertical Stage a further modern and virtuous expression of the redevelopment of the area in sports and outdoor and made available to the local and tourist community.

A unique project in Italy that is distinguished by the presence of vertical rock structures on which activities related to moving at height can be practiced, to horizontal and wide surfaces where people can gather and practice recreational and cultural activities and services. In fact, the area proves to be ideal for handling small as well as large groups in a private and private area.
