Also this season, Topo Athletic ‘s commitment to supporting the trail running community is growing stronger and stronger.
The American brand has presented, and will continue to do so throughout the year, new models of high-performance trail shoes, and has chosen to support landmark events in the Italian off-road running scene.

First among them is the The Abbots Way, ultratrail which, over the distances of 123 km (6,100d+), 60 km (2,900d+) and 35 km (1,600d+), saw just these days 315 trail runner cross the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines starting from Bobbio, in the province of Piacenza, and arriving in Borgo Val di Taro, in the province of Parma, touching the mountain towns of Coli, Farini, and Bardi.
The race was created in 2008 to retrace and promote the Via degli Abati, a pilgrimage route from Pavia to Pontremoli (Ms) in the footsteps of the monks to the monastery of Bobbio, led by the Irishman St. Columbanus, commissioned by the Lombard kings and fervent Catholics Theodolinda and Agilulf.

Great success for this 16th edition that saw Valentina Michielli, Topo Athletic ambassador with her MTN Racer 3s on her feet, dominate in the 123-kilometer race.
In addition to prizes up for grabs for the winners, all participants then had the opportunity to learn about and test the best models from the brand founded by Tony Post at the race village.

From July 19 to 21 , however, it will be the turn of theMonviso Ultra Trail, created four years ago with the desire to unite medieval villages and mountain landscapes, starry nights and breathtaking sunrises in one intense course.
Two valleys, 18 municipalities, more than 500 volunteers and thousands of spectators are the numbers of an adventure that is expected to have an epic flavor and that over the years has been able to grow by introducing new distances to be run in the three-day 100 Miglia.
Alongside the undisputed star of the program, the 100 Miglia Monviso – M160K (160 km, 9,000d+)
, in fact, three other races will push fans beyond their limits: on the one hand, the unprecedented M45K (45 km, 2,000d+
) and M20K (20 km, 1,000d+
), on the other the historic Monviso Trail (26 km, 1,900d+ ), featuring breathtaking scenery at the foot of the Stone King, departing from Crissolo on August 25.
