Under Armour, stay healthy at home

Due to the current guidelines and restrictions to combat the spread of COVID-19, Under Armour is committed to empowering athletes during the development of new training habits and routines.

In fact, all the Brand’s Apps help athletes to continue their health and fitness activities at home, as the DNA of Under Armour is founded on performance.

Keeping in Motion

When health is the top priority and the usual habits are broken, Under Armour, thanks to its MyFitnessPal app, gives users useful information to continue to train and keep fit from home.
Below we have collected tips and suggestions from our MyFitnessPal blog to help you get through this period in the best possible way:

1. Make the most of your workouts at home. Thanks to MyFitnessPal, we can make the best use of our current situation and build habits that we can easily follow in the long term.

2. Running without leaving home. You can get a good workout from home by following four simple tips: set a step target, use a step counter, move around as much as you can and add free-body exercises while walking/running at home.

3. No equipment, no problem. Training at home has become our new daily routine, which means being creative with household items instead of gym equipment. “Concentrate on what you’re trying to do and the items you have available to complete your workout” – Paul Winsper, vice president of Athlete Performance of Under Armour.

4. Avoid boredom. While the novelty of exercise in a new environment can be exciting at first -although also a fun challenge- home and outdoor workouts can quickly become boring. Train by streaming workouts on our MyFitnesspal app, continue to progressively increase the difficulty of your workouts and turn your simple exercises into a high-intensity circuit.

5. Be present. Learn to control your breathing and practice guided meditations, many of which are offered in MyFitnessPal; they can help you cope with what awaits you in the present moment.
