World Rookie Freeski Finals 2023: Here are the results

The World Rookie Freeski Finals 2023 were three days of pure adrenaline at the Ursus Snowpark in Madonna di Campiglio.

The event proved once again that World Rookie Tour freeski events are taking the discipline to new heights. The competition began with training on Monday and continued on Tuesday with qualifying, held under the sunshine and blue skies of the Alps. Participants had the opportunity to take part in side activities during the afternoon, including an art workshop with kids with disabilities and training sessions in the Freestyle Academy gym, a symbol of an inclusive world for all.

Although somewhat delayed due to strong winds at altitude, the finals were held on Wednesday, where The Norwegian William Bostadlokken took home the World Rookie Freeski Champion title with an impressive run, featuring tricks such as bio 900 japan, switch double cork 12 safety, double cork 1440 tail, backside 630 out and right side 270 out. In the women’s category, Australian Daisy Thomas dominated with a run that included a 540, switch 540 safety, 720, frontside 450 out and slide.

The Grom category saw Sweden’s Melvin Seliberg win with an outstanding performance consisting of numerous tricks: cork 900 japan, switch dub 900 safety, double cork 1260 tail, cork 450 out and transfer front swap.

William and Daisy not only won the title but also incredible prizes, including invitations to events such as Swatch Nines 2023, Prime Session 2023, Absolute Spring Battle 2024, and a ticket to the Rock ‘a’ Rail Contest.

The World Rookie Freeski Finals 2023 was a success on a global scale, representing a perfect mix of friendship, competition and fun for all participants.
