World Rookie Tour: online the film chronicling the 2022 edition

Black Yeti released the film on past WRT and set dates for upcoming events

Black Yeti is proud to present the release of the video report of the 2022 edition of the World Rookie Tour. The film, recorded and edited by Andreas Monsberger, Silvio Ottonello, Federico Romanello, Maurino Castellani, Daniele Teodorosi and others, shows a unique journey across the world to meet the future stars of snowboarding and freestyle skiing.

The WRT is organized by Black Yeti itself in cooperation with the World Snowboard Federation, national snowboard, ski, and skateboard associations, and a number of action sports agencies. For those who haven’t heard of it yet, the competition consists of a selection of international snowboarding, freestyle skiing, skateboarding and surfing events, the so-called “Rookie Fests,” reserved for riders under 18, in Europe, North and South America, Oceania and Asia.

The WRT also provides many other activities to help rookies grow and enter this world, such as photo and video shoots, clinics on avalanches and rescue, meetings with photographers and team managers, parties and conferences. Finally, tickets are always awarded for world-class events including: X Games Norway, Audi Nines and The Arctic Challenge.

Each year the tour crowns the World Rookie Champions during the World Rookie Finals, a unique event where the best young people from nearly 30 countries compete and have fun.
If you dream of becoming a professional athlete in snowboarding or freestyle skiing, then your future lies with the World Rookie Tour.
The tour also includes the following events in the first half of February:
Maramures Rookie Fest 2023, February 2-5, in northern Romania;
French Kiss Rookie Fest 2023, Feb. 6-8, in Font Romeu in the heart of the Pyrenees;
