XTERRA Brenta Dolomites Trail 2023

Saturday, September 9, kicks off the XTerra Dolomiti di Brenta Trail. 778 athletes from 22 nations expected on the world’s most beautiful trails.

As every year, the 45km and 21km are sold out. The endurance specialist race, the 64km, is close to being sold out. Everything is ready for the Xterra Dolomiti di Brenta Trail.

September 9 will kick off with a grand celebration of trail running and mountain peaks. What will make this edition even more significant is the European XTerra Trail Run World Series recognition, which will be contested right during the Dolomiti di Brenta Trail.

The model is now an established benchmark, as are the tracks, which link some of the most fascinating routes in the Alps, starting from the Lake Molveno and touching legendary mountaineering peaks: the race lengths on which athletes will be able to compete are the 45km, an iconic Dolomiti di Brenta Trail, and, for the first time, the 21km half-marathon, aimed at introducing new trail lovers to the magnificent trails of the Dolomites. A route with a positive elevation gain of 1250 meters that allows you to immerse yourself in the most striking views of the Brenta Dolomites, starting from Lake Molveno, crossing Malga Andalo, the Selvata refuge, the Croz dell’Altissimo and the Montanara, and then return to the starting point in front of the clear waters of the lake.

Within the Dolomiti di Brenta Trail proposal, of course, there continues to be the 64km race, where every year the best trail runners in Europe compete on technical and challenging trails, from the first to the last kilometer, immersing themselves in the pure magnificence of these mountains. The event program also includes an evening dedicated to preparation for trail running, but also to the narratives and emotions inherent in the sport: on Friday, 8, at 6:15 p.m., at the Palacongressi, before the briefing, Davide Grazielli and the Destination Unknown team. will share “The Ten Rules of the Thoughtful Runner”, exploring the aspect of both physical and mental preparation for running.
