XTerra Dolomiti Brenta Trail is back

XTerra Dolomiti Brenta Trail is back

Registration’s open for the sixth edition of the Dolomite stage of the Xterra Trail Marathon Series

On 10 September, numerous high-level runners will compete in the Brenta Dolomites, the only Italian stage of the international program.

Two race courses are proposed: a short one of 45km and 2850d+ (valid for the Xterra classification) and a long one of 64km with 4200d+. Both routes will touch iconic places for all the mountain lovers: Lake Molveno, the Cima S. Maria and Cima di Campa group, the Grosté Pass and the whole central part of the Brenta (at the foot of historic peaks such as Cima Brenta, Crozzon di Brenta, Cima Tosa, Campanil Basso, and a thousand others).

The appointment is also interesting for the off-road triathlon athletes of the Xterra community who will have the opportunity to discover a unique territory along paths experiencing an emotion that goes beyond just sport. Precisely for this reason, the soul of the event is the passion for the “high lands” and for running.

The race starts on Saturday 10 September 2022 from Molveno (TN). As always, much attention is paid to safety and organization, also thanks to the GPS tracker supplied to each participant. The event will be organized in compliance with the health regulations in force.

For those who are training to go fast, the records to beat, which have now lasted for 4 years, remain the ones from Enzo Romieri, of 7h 04 ’23’ ‘, and Laura Besseghini, of 9:10:37. For the 45 km the reference times are those from Federico Nicolini (4:40:09) and Martina Valmassoi (5:53:37). The races allow you to accumulate ITRA points: 2 for the short and 3 for the long version.
