66° North x Polartec, a collaboration that turns 30

With an eye always on its roots, 66° North starts from its Iceland to create clothing lines that are both functional in the harshest climate and style-conscious. At this juncture, it began its collaboration with Polartec, which has been one of the Icelandic company’s key partners for over thirty years.
A partnership that has also allowed Polartec to innovate: in 2011, for the production and launch of Neoshell technology, 66°North was involved in the testing of the new fabric because of its familiarity with cold environments. This collaboration resulted in one of the jackets that is still the benchmark for the winter outdoor world today, the Snœfell Jacket.
For the new 2021/2022 season, a new product by 66°North is a must. The Tindur Jacket is the new garment that represents the great versatility of the outdoor world. The materials it is made of all come from Polartec: thanks to Shealing Polartech Thermal PRO fleece made from 100% recycled plastic bottles and Polartec Wind Pro panels, the jacket is perfect for extreme cold conditions.
