Wild Country: an harness for women’s only!
Wild Country, a brand specializing in climbing apparel and equipment, has announced the launch of its new Women Specific Fit design, dedicated to making harnesses specifically for women’s morphology.
After analyzing the market and noting the lack of harnesses entirely dedicated to the female anatomy, Wild Country decided to invest in the research and development of a design that would fit women perfectly, regardless of their experience level and preferred climbing style. The result of this work is the Women Specific Fit, a new ergonomic design that makes women’s harnesses more comfortable to wear during all climbing-related activities.
There are three focal points of the harness:
- The waist belt, with a unique shape designed to fit the pelvis and distribute the load effectively
- The waist-leg ratio, which includes wider leg loops and a tighter hip belt to reduce pressure points
- The increased distance between the leg loops and the waistband, which provides a better fit without sacrificing comfort
For SS23, the brand has already applied the new Women Specific Fit design to its Mosquito women’s and Flow women’s harnesses. With this new launch, Wild Country confirms that it is a brand at the forefront and capable of providing innovative solutions to meet the needs of all climbing enthusiasts.
