AKU supports Prealpitour hike&fly race 2023
AKU, an Italian brand famous for its mountaineering shoes, has decided to offer its support to the PreAlpitour Hike&Fly Race 2023, an international competition that will take place between Veneto and Trentino from July 20 to 23, 2023.
“Hike&Fly” is the name of a sporting discipline that is gaining momentum in the outdoor scene, totally eco-friendly and certainly not for the faint of heart. It consists of ascending the peaks on foot and then descending in the air with a paraglider.
Athletes before jumping must also reach predetermined turnpoints and sign their photo to validate their passage and be able to reach the next leg. No outside help is allowed and each participant will be able to rely only on his or her own strength and skills to complete the race.
AKU will participate in the competition with its own team, consisting of four young Hike&Fly hopefuls ready to push their limits and venture into the unknown. The team will wear Flyrock GTX, the new fast-hiking footwear with Dynamic Fit technology designed by AKU for the most demanding off-road adventures. There will certainly be no shortage of traction, protection and high cushioning.
