Alex Txikon protagonist at Trento Film Festival

On April 30th the Ferrino ambassador will be present at the festival as the protagonist of the docu-film Anwar

First winter climber of Nanga Parbat, Alex Txikon will be present on April 30 at 16.30 at the Supercinema Vittoria in Trento for the projection of the docu-film Anwar. The film, through images and narration, tells the expedition of the Basque climber at the foot of Manaslu. The aim of the venture, supported by Ferrino, was to succeed in the winter ascent of the mountain through an ecological expedition completely powered by solar panels. Anwar recounts Alex’s travels, from the Himalayas to Sierra Leone and from Sierra Leone to Pakistan. After completing the expedition, Alex decided to donate the solar panels to local communities to support the development of clean energy in Pakistani villages.

Rosa García Loire, director of the film, comments, “It is a story that makes us travel, that makes us think, that moves us. It is a journey through intertwined paths, schools that join forces, friends who stay, cultural exchanges, people who decide to leave their homes because they think that something can change and that another world is possible.”

Alex Txikon also wanted to share a thought about Anwar: “It is a project born from good work that goes to highlight the importance of humanitarian values. I have the belief that it will be able to make the viewer empathize and make them think about the differences in opportunities.”
