Innovation and Planet Heart: the promises of Rando Légère

Cimalp
continues its ascent toward a more inclusive market and introduces its latest range of hiking apparel: Rando Légère. The new line combines the latest innovations in design and in-house patented fabric technology with an ongoing commitment to sustainability, demonstrating that it is possible to explore the mountains while respecting the environment.

Rando Légère is a line that ranges from Ultrashell, waterproof, breathable shells to intermediate layers in Cimagrid to Merino wool Cimawool T-shirts and technical pants. Each garment embodies the brand’s commitment to research and development of new fabrics, with an ongoing commitment to innovation. The new collection is also a manifesto of a deep dedication to respecting the nature around us. Lionel Marsanne, at the helm of Cimalp, has embarked on a sustainability-oriented path, aiming to reduce the environmental impact of the entire production.

Through a strategic partnership with Bluesign, a leader in the certification of environmental solutions for the textile industry, Cimalp takes an innovative approach to minimize the ecological repercussions of the production process. “We need safer workplaces and textile products that have less impact on the environment.” This commitment translates into the use of organic pigments and adherence to strict standards that ensure not only the eco-friendliness of the garments, but also their social ethicality. By 2023, 70% of the raw materials used are Oeko-tex and Bluesign certified.

Cimagrid: technicality and performance in harmony with nature

The design features a mesh structure, and is designed to maximize body heat management and promote rapid moisture removal. This feature ensures an optimal balance between thermal insulation and breathability, effectively preventing the risk of sweat accumulation and ensuring comfort even during the most intense activities.

Whymper and Torre technical fleece are ideal as a middle layer in both spring and winter. They feature a front zipper, two roomy pockets, a helmet-compatible hood, and an elastic waist and cuffs for excellent protection from the cold. Baretti and Bernina lightweight fleece, on the other hand, are stretchy and enhanced with a Primaloft Gold lining, offering freedom of
movement and breathability, as well as thermal insulation similar to natural goose down. Large chest pockets and a helmet-compatible hood make this versatile garment for both spring and winter.

Cosmiques
Cosmiques

Cosmiques is the first Cimalp shell to enjoy two internally patented technologies. In addition to the Ultrashell 20K-80K membrane, in fact, this jacket is equipped with the Aerodry system, a soft three-dimensional insert placed on the upper part of one of the sleeves that ensures greater breathability and elimination of body moisture even during
the most intense activity, thus providing constant thermal regulation. A drawstring hood and heat-sealed seams improve the garment’s waterproofing, while zippers on the rib provide additional ventilation and breathability.

Clapier and Aigliere

T-shirts in Cimalp’s Trekking & Lifestyle range are made of CimaWool: an innovative patented fabric internally composed of 47 percent Merino wool and fibers more
resistant to give the garment added strength while preserving the natural fiber’s extraordinary qualities of softness, breathability, odor-repellent ability and quick drying.

Rockfit and Explore

Cimalp’s Rockfits combine three technical fabrics to be a high-performance, durable garment tailored for mountain lovers. These pants are made of stretch Softshell fabric for freedom of movement, while Kevlar reinforcements on the buttocks, knees and calves make this a built-to-last product. In addition, patented Cimaflex technology inside makes Rockfits breathable and windproof.

Also made of Cimaflex, the Explore provide comfort and complete freedom of movement. They feature a double-face construction that wicks away moisture and offers wind protection, while Teflon EcoElite water-repellent treatment and Kevlar reinforcements increase their durability. Completing the design are an elasticated half belt and pockets
waterproof. Also available in Court version for a height below 172 cm and 162 cm.
