Cober Skyway Mont Blanc for Save the Glacier

Summer 2023 arrives and Italy’s leading pole brand renews its support for Mont Blanc Discovery, the Mont Blanc nature hiking guides’ activity program.

Every Thursday from July 13 until the end of August, Skyway Mont Blanc in collaboration with the Society of Mountain Guides of Courmayeur offers an exploration to discover the alpine nature of Mont Blanc. Led by a nature hiking guide, the hike departs from the Pavillon mid-station at 2,173 meters above sea level to traverse an alpine area of peace and silence suspended between heaven and earth, ploughing through the surrounding trails and crossing the Saussurea Botanical Garden, the highest dEurope, discovering the flora and fauna of Europe’s highest mountain.

Cober Skyway Mont Blanc Sticks for Save the Glacier

Made from strong, lightweight aluminum tubing, the poles manufactured by Cober exclusively for Skyway Mont Blanc are accessorized with a simple, functional second-life plastic knob and a durable steel ferrule. Adjustable in three sections, they range from 110 to 140 centimeters, but when closed they reduce to only 63 centimeters in length for attaching to a backpack.

“For the second year in a row, we are partnering with the Pavillon nature hikes, providing our hiking and trekking poles for those participating in this activity,” says Costanza Bacchi, Cober marketing manager. Poles are an important aid in the mountains, both for safety and to reduce fatigue, especially for those who are less accustomed to alpine terrain and walking at altitude. For this collaboration, we also created a special series of personalized Cober – Skyway Mont Blanc sticks for Save the Glacier, sold exclusively at the store at altitude, to convey a message of care for the glaciers of Mont Blanc, which need protection and respect.”.

Starting July 13, the excursion leaves every Thursday three times a day at 10:30 am, 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm. In August, departures are at 11:00 am, 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Participation is free, except for five euros to be handed over to the nature hiking guide at the beginning of the hike, but must be booked in advance by sending an e-mail to info@montebianco.com after purchasing the round-trip cable car ticket at
