Devold Expedition Arctic Pro Hoodie Man: test by The Pill
Super comfortable and extremely breathable thermal jersey
Imagine the situation in which you’ve been coldest in your life: lo and behold, probably the one you wanted to wear at the time, but couldn’t name yet, was Devold’s Expedition Arctic Pro hoodie. To design it, the brand enlisted the help of polar explorer Børge Ousland, who helped design this and the other products in the Expedition series. The kangaroo pocket on the front is the result of his wishes and was requested specifically to warm his hands in extreme conditions. Placement is strategic, that is, just above the waist so as not to interfere with other equipment. The hood perfectly follows the shape of the head and is designed to avoid any space from which cold air could creep in. The breathability of the garmentis ensured by the main material from which this product is made, namely wool, which is a hollow fiber, but also by the Aquaduct treatment. In the interest of intellectual honesty, we have to say that we did not test it in such extreme conditions as Ousland is used to, but we were thankful to have it during a very long outing and on a weather challenging day.
