Diadora Equipe Sestriere-XT

We tried them for the first time this spring on Lake Garda, and this fall we were able to run a few more miles on them. Diadora in 2023 arrived in the trail segment with a sneaker-inspired shoe, a design that results in a protective model with a soft fit. Equipe Sestriere-XT is made with an upper made of Air Mesh reinforced by a TPU application that wraps around the bottom of the upper around the entire perimeter of the shoe giving it a structured and supportive fit. The traditional lacing system has been combined with a once again soft, padded tongue that, along with the heel seat, contributes this soft feel to the shoe. The midsole is composed of a foam called DD Anima, taken from Diadora’s road models, toughened to better support the foot on natural surfaces. The outsole is made of five-piece Duratech 5000 rubber on the rear and the outer area, which is more in contact with the ground when rolling, and Soft Rubber compound in the middle part of the forefoot and near the instep. Since it is not a full sole, the designers managed to further reduce the weight of the shoe, which is still well-bodied overall. We recommend it to runners who are looking for a shoe to approach running in nature, or who run in hilly, out-of-town areas and are looking for protection and comfort. In sample size it weighs 340 grams.
