Ultra-soft, warm and breathable shell with great grip even in heavy rain

Ferrino
Yenisei JKT W

What do you have to ask of a shell that is already waterproof, water-repellent, and at the same time breathable? To have top thermoregulation. Here, Ferrino’s Yenisei jacket fully meets all four of these requirements, which are fundamental to enjoying the mountains in any situation. Lightweight StormShield fabric padding (2 layers of breathable, non-bulky stretch fabric) kicks in as soon as the temperature drops for a moment. We tested it on an early autumn day, during the ascent we didn’t need it, but once we reached the summit it was a blessing: soft to the touch, it doesn’t encumber our movements, but at the same time it protects from cold and wind and, in case of rain, it is waterproof up to 15,000mm. The side ventilation then is functional to regulate the temperature during the descent or uphill stretches where you push less and cool down a bit, the coverage is maximum and is also given by the back length of the jacket that covers the back perfectly and the adjustable Velcro cuffs. The same goes for the hood, which is adjustable and has a visor. Completing the picture is the monochrome look, ideal for matching the garment to create a fully functional layered outfit.
