The beloved Anacapa model returns with a renewed focus on materials

Hoka Anacapa 2 Mid GTX

If Anacapa represented the brand’s most vivid expression of the use of sustainable materials, the second version was further reworked through this concept, with a substantial increase in recycled elements. The upper integrates 100% recycled polyester mesh lining, collar and cuff with Leather Working Group-certified Nubuck panels. Although the interior spaces are slightly narrower than in the previous generation, it can be described as a medium to wide boot capable of fitting a wide range of shapes. Beneath the contoured PU insole, also made from soybean oil, takes up space for the compression-molded EVA midsole. Anacapa 2 is a neutral shoe equipped with a symmetrical cushioned bed, very soft at compression but surprisingly stable at torsional stiffness. Near the toe box integrates MetaRocker technology that supports the foot on ground contact, increasing stability. The result is protective and balanced cushioning that is perfect when the terrain gets tougher, giving extremely soft landings and responsive thrust when you want to increase your speed. Finally on the outsole is Vibram rubber with Megagrip technology and a5-mm lug designed to give traction on mixed terrain. Anapaca works well for tackling moderately challenging routes with little load. It is able to give smooth walking for long days on the trails in all seasons.
