Seventh version of Hoka’s ATR model

Hoka Stinson 7

Stinson was developed by Hoka to be a versatile, all-terrain trail running shoe, that shoe to take on vacation when you don’t know what kind of terrain you might find and with which to do any kind of training with no problem. The first thing you notice, both at the fit and at the sight, are Stinson’s volumes: with a very high and cushioned sole, and a very wide bottom shape, Stinson is a very soft and structured shoe. The midsole is made with a dual-compound EVA compound, as is now in almost all of Hoka’s trail models, coupled with a structure called the H-Frame, designed to increase the stable feel of the shoe. The upper is almost identical to that of the Mafate Speed 4, as is the fit. It is developed with the jaquard fabric progressively introduced by Hoka on all trail models released in the last two seasons, and which we have come to know for comfort and lightness. It is not a structured upper, but is compensated for by the shape of the midsole that laterally accommodates the foot by decreasing instability and called Active Foot Frame. The sample model weighs 365 grams: quite a lot, but this is a training shoe for fairly heavy runners looking for protection and safety, so it’s not as important on this shoe. The sole is not made of Vibram as in Hoka’s other trail shoes, but it still has a good tread pattern that makes it quite versatile. It is a shoe for heavy runners seeking comfort and protection.
