Kästle ZX 100 tested by The Pill

Inspired by “Generation Z,” this ski aims embraces diversity, innovation and individuality, aiming to meet the needs and desires of freeriders of all ages.

The ZX100 belongs to the Zx range designed by Kastle specifically for freeriding. This range differs from the Fx in its more flexible construction, while still maintaining excellent strength. Due to its semi-cap sandwich construction, the upper part of the ski is slightly rounded, making it more maneuverable and responsive, while the lower part has a sandwich structure that provides stability and power. Tested in a variety of conditions, including off-piste, groves and on groomed trails, this ski proved to be multipurpose in each situation. The 100mm width underfoot, gives fun on powder alarms, while the hollowtech 2.0 technology keeps it grippy on terrain changes as it makes the ski’s structure agile and responsive . The poplar core provides a good compromise between lightness and cushioning. This material helps reduce vibration and absorb shock, making driving on hard snow or uneven terrain more comfortable and controllable. Fiberglass reinforcement adds additional strength and responsiveness to the ski. We feel we would recommend this ski to skiers from intermediate to advanced level, able to appreciate the versatility the ski offers, on different types of slopes and in different conditions.
