Kristin Harila: it’s an all-time record with the world’s 14 highest peaks in 3 months

Norwegian climber Kristin Harila reaches the fourteen highest peaks in the world in incredible time, becoming the only person to do so in three months.

April 2023 begins the challenge against herself of Osprey brand ambassador Kristin Harila, who decides she wants to break the existing record of 6 months and 6 days by climbing the fourteen highest peaks in the world in less than four months.

Today, July 27, 2023, around 10:45 a.m., Kristin and Tenjin Lama, Sherpas with whom she shared the entire record-breaking adventure, reached the last of the fourteen 8,000-meter-plus peaks, K2 in Pakistan. Keeping to the goal she set for herself that day in April, she achieved the incredible feat of climbing the fourteen highest peaks in the world in just three months and one day, for a total of 92 days.

The ingredients for such success have been perseverance, determination and discipline, making her a true inspiration to mountaineers and sportsmen around the world.

Their love of the mountains and passion for mountaineering caused Kristin and Tenjin’s destinies to cross paths, thus forming a harmonious and fluid meeting of cultures that once again enrich the world of sports. Going beyond borders and overcoming obstacles, today Kristin and Tenjin return united and grateful to all the supporters who, from the most disparate parts of the globe, supported their venture.

For Kristin, who climbed her first mountain in 2015, these kinds of records are nothing new. Back in 2022, he was the fastest person ever to have climbed the world’s five highest mountains-Everest, K2, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu-in just sixty-nine days.

On May 22, 2022, she took home another consistent record, that of the fastest woman to climb Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse, in less than eight and a half hours.

His 2023 got off to a great start, breaking the record for the shortest possible time-439 days-of climbing the world’s five highest peaks, Everest, K2, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu.

Then continuing with a great triumph in the spring, Kristin became the fastest person ever to climb during that season six mountains in Nepal. In only 29 days he conquered Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Kanchenjunga, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu.

She goes on to complete the fastest one-twos of the two highest 8,000-meter peaks, Everest and Lhotse, with the knowledge, in April of this year, that she can break even that oh-so-hostile record of six months and six days to climb all fourteen of the world’s highest peaks, succeeding and becoming the only woman, but also the only person ever, to do so in ninety-two days.

A true example for each of us of how the right balance of passion and resilience can lead us to climb the most treacherous peaks, whatever they may be.
