La Sportiva and BOA together for a new trail running shoe

The Trentino-based company is introducing for SS23 La Sportiva Jackal II BOA, a mountain-running shoe that adopts the now-familiar caster closure system.

BOA Fit System and La Sportiva meet again to offer La Sportiva Jackal II BOA, a trail running shoe designed to tackle long distances.

Prominent among the features is a protective upper with a precise, snug fit and structure to ensure stability even in the most technical sections of an eventual ultra-marathon. The scientifically tested and proven PerformFit Wrap works with the BOA Fit System, which makes the fit micro-adjustable, contributing to increased stability and reducing landing impact. The adjustability of the shoe is truly customizable, thanks to the two BOA casters on the sides that allows the shoe to be tightened or widened based on the areas of the foot and the runner’s need.

The sole is composed with a dual-density EVA midsole, creating a balance between high cushioning and, at the same time, stability. It uses Infinitoo technology, which consists of two internal polyurethane cushioning pads that limit energy consumption. Lastly, the SpiyralFit tongue and collar made of highly elastic multilayer Ariaprene that helps protect against impact and keeps the foot safe from debris entry.

We also make a point of giving attention to the materials used: the upper, for example, is made of mesh with recycled material. The same goes for the lining, laces, and BOA Fit System components.
