LaMunt: premium mountain clothing created by women for women
LaMunt is a mountain sports brand born in the Dolomites with the goal of meeting the needs of women in technical mountain clothing. Founded by Ruth Oberrauch, the brand promises to revolutionize the standards of mountain clothing, offering comfortable, high-performance and functional garments with a feminine aesthetic without “pink” stereotypes. With the name meaning “mountain” in Ladino, LaMunt is part of the Oberalp group and encourages women to experience the mountains actively, authentically and freely. The collections are inspired by three ways of experiencing the mountains: Soul Trekking, Mountain Me-Time, and Fitness Hiking, each with a specific focus on the relationship with nature and the mountain experience.
The real by women for women
“By women for women” is not just a claim for LaMunt. It means giving voice to the needs of mountain lovers, making dialogue and exchange of opinions the basic pillars of the brand’s DNA. Thus was born the Crew, an all-female community that has been following LaMunt from its earliest beginnings, and has seen the brand grow and improve thanks in part to their own contributions. Opinion leaders, entrepreneurs, journalists, and sportswomen, the Crew members are Italian, German, Swiss, and great mountain enthusiasts: a diverse mix of top voices that have enabled the brand to gain credibility and authenticity, but above all to develop innovative product solutions to respond to that promise that Ruth Oberrauch does not want to betray: to make women feel completely comfortable while experiencing the mountains. The Crew meets at least twice a year at the ever-anticipated LaMunt Crew Events to share high altitude experiences and enjoy quality MountainMe-Time. For the LaMunt team, these are opportunities to get together with the target audience, test the product, understand the issues of women’s outdoor clothing in the field, and gather input and suggestions useful for the development of future projects. Dynamic and interactive workshops bring out direct feedback on the garments worn during the event, new perspectives on the brand, and on the materials, features, and garments in the collections, which are often named after Crew members themselves. But the Crew’s value does not stop with the flow of thoughts that fills LaMunt with insights and ideas at each event. A sincere friendship and a strong sense of belonging has been forged among the community and the team: many women with the same passion coming together to celebrate what the mountains represent to each, converging energies in the co-creation of something spectacularly true, priceless. LaMunt is more than a brand: it is a community of strong, confident and authentic women, united by passion and determined to redefine the standards of mountain clothing, to feel comfortable and beautiful on all their adventures.
