Moreno pesce returns to the Dolomites

Moreno Pesce, Paralympic athlete and Osprey ambassador, is back climbing his beloved Dolomites.

On March 21, 2023, Moreno Pesce and his trusted guide, Lio De Nes, attempted to ascend the 900-meter drop of the famous Forcella Staunies, located in the Faloria Cristallo Ski Area, with a maximum gradient of 64 percent.

For Moreno, the Staunies Fork has a special value and a very strong meaning since he had already climbed it and descended it again with his father along the scree in the summer version. This time, the challenge was even greater because the Staunies Fork is very difficult and has many points that alone Moreno would never have been able to overcome. However, having Lio with him has been like an outstretched hand that has accompanied him to overcome some of the difficulties he has faced before.

In this new adventure, Moreno was accompanied by the company Osprey, a leading manufacturer of backpacks and accessories, which has supported him with great passion in his initiatives for several years.

Osprey provided him with its iconic mountaineering backpack, the Mutant 22, which was created specifically for long days at altitude conquering a summit or climbing steep rocks and vertical ice walls. The Mutant provides the grip needed to achieve the goal and is perfectly adapted to the extreme conditions of mountaineering.

This model was developed with the help of local athletes and guides and refined over the years in extreme situations. The body-hugging fit and features of this backpack ensure safety and stability even in the worst conditions. With a price tag of 140.00, the Mutant is an ideal investment for those who want to take on tough challenges in the mountains with confidence and reliability.
