Polartec X ABSNT

Polartec X ABSNT

British brand ABSNT has collaborated with Polartec to make the ABSNT Mono Air Robe long pullover in Polartec Power Air

ABSNT is the new brand of brothers Jade and Shane Rhone, two designers with years of experience gained in high-street, luxury and sportswear companies. The two founded ABSNT driven by the need to bring to market what they felt was, indeed, absent: innovative products that challenge norms and trends with extreme care in design and materials used.

Jade Rhone says, “When you are engaged in style selection for a brand’s collection, you see fantastic material that designers have put together, and often seemingly key patterns are dropped because they are not commercial enough. Everyone loves them, but those pieces get discarded and the consumer will never see them. That’s what the ABSNT brand revolves around.”

ABSNT Mono Air Robe is the British brand’s first product, a long pullover that has already won the Polartec Apex Award 2021. It is not a traditional pullover, but a garment to wear at home, in the garden and after training. It is made of lightweight Polartec Power Air, a 100 percent recycled and recyclable fabric built to last.

The sustainability of Power Air lies not only in its recycling, but also in the dispersion of microfibers: it disperses 5 times less during washing than other conventional premium fleece.

A garment that accompanies everyday life and needs high performance such as lightness, warmth, ease of handling and anti-pilling. The product is distributed in a biodegradable package with non-toxic ink, plant-impregnated tags and leaflets, and a mesh laundry bag.
