SCARPA and the new Mescalito TRK Planet GTX

SCARPA has created a new model of hiking shoes ideal for long hikes, representing a green benchmark in the world of hiking.

This model features the use of sustainable technologies and materials such as Perspair fabric, made from 45 percent recycled yarn, which combines several functional zones with abrasion-resistant hypertex putek inserts.

In addition, the new Bluesign Gore-Tex membrane used in the shoes contains 98 percent recycled fabrics, while the Vibram Ecostep Evo sole is made from a blend that includes up to 30 percent recycled rubber. The model’s cool, summery-looking design is inspired by approach shoes but at the same time provides the stability, durability and comfort of a hiking shoe. This combination of sustainability and performance represents a major step forward for the hiking footwear industry.
