Ski Trab Neve tested by The Pill

Ski Trab Neve is the versatile, multipurpose ski designed forfree touring .

Its construction, based on a core composed of two types of wood with different levels of stiffness and elasticity, reinforced by layers of carbon and fiberglass underfoot, results in a ski that is nearly indestructible in the center, but allows some flexibility in the tip and tail while maintaining good stiffness. This feature between tip and tail, minimizes vibration and allows better grip on variable terrain. Tested on hardsnow , Ski Trab Nevefeels comfortable and offers stability approaching the levels of high-end piste skis. However, the light weight requires constant attention to load management, as it does not tolerate distractions. For this reason, we feel we can recommend it for skiers with a medium to high level. The surface of the ski appears to be strong and durable, demonstrating good robustness during testing, even after falls or narrow passages when ascending. The choice of this ski depends mainly on the user’s preferences and the balance one seeks in a product. This ski is somewhere in between and does not represent extreme niche specialization. At 93mm underfoot, Ski Trab Neve does not fall into the category of freeride “pad” skis nor does it fall into the category of narrow “onesie” skis. The 93mm width underfoot however, in our opinion, is a good compromise that takes into account both the downhill needs and the low weight of the ski. This width provides good support on the descent, but at the same time does not lead to excessive twisting during traverses, which certainly require more attention than a narrower ski.
