Team SCARPA protagonist at Pierra Menta 2022
First place for Edeyllin, silver for Gachet and Valmassoi
Great results for the SCARPA Team at the Pierra Menta 2022 (March 9-12). Matteo Eydallin triumphs with his teammate Michele Bosacci at the 36th edition of the legendary ski mountaineering race. The Italian duo finished the last stage (19 km for 2100 m d+) in only 2 h 8 min, stopping the total time at 9 h 48 min. Behind the Italians, Xavier Gachet (also a SCARPA team member) and William Bon Mardion: the French finished the race in 9 h 51 min.
“We are very happy – underlines Eydallin, winner for the fifth time of the French race – The Pierra Menta is a symbol for winter sports, the satisfaction is great. It’s a competition that requires the maximum effort, in the four days of competition the real challenge was to manage the energies in the best way, paying attention to the downhill and to the uphill effort. A strategy that turned out to be winning”.
The SCARPA Team confirms its position at the top of the men’s ski mountaineering world. Great satisfaction also from the female race where Martina Valmassoi conquered the second step of the podium. SCARPA is always present on the occasion of the most important sporting events, supporting great athletes: for ski mountaineering, in addition to Matteo Eydallin, the brand ambassadors of the company from Asolo include the champions Robert Antonioli and Emily Harrop, together with some promising youngsters.
