Black Diamond presents a new line of skis designed for freeriding, the Impulse line, which adapt well in different situations of use, giving their best on fresh snow. Impulse are manufactured in Austria using pre-impregnated glass fibers in the outer frame and engineered poplar wood in the core, a combination that makes them solid and responsive. ABS sidewalls optimize torsional stiffness and provide greater control and excellent power transmission, even at high speeds and on hard pack. Rocker both at the tip and at the tail: this results in an effective edge length less than the length of the ski, allowing greater control on hard pack, excellent floatation on fresh snow and smooth entry into turns. Impulse, measuring 104mm under the foot, are very versatile skis, to ride all day on fresh snow and also have fun when returning to the track, on hard pack. They are skis that will be perfect on the feet of advanced skiers who have a multi-purpose approach to skiing and who quickly go from bouncing in powder, to pulling curves on the track to jumping off a cliff. If you want an on-piste ski, Impulse is not the model for you, but if you want a ski that will allow you to do what you want once you get on the gondola, Impulse will be your choice for having fun.
