Test: Julbo Ultimate

Optimal vision in any weather condition and a tailor-made fit

Ultimate is Julbo’s proposal with a tapered silhouette that tries to push the limits of performance further. The design is essential and the weight is very low. We were positively impressed by the new CustomFIT temples with precise adjustment that allow any type of adjustment, even under the helmet. We also appreciated the Grip Tech structure which guarantees a personalized hold in total lightness. The 3D Fit Nose is fully adjustable in every angle in order to allow the glasses to adapt to all types of noses and to offer a perfect seal in all circumstances. We tested Ultimate during different excursions and with different atmospheric conditions and in all cases these glasses proved to be up to the situation, thanks to the Reactive 1-3 photochromic lenses with the Light Amplifier base, able to maximize brightness and guarantee a sure step in the changes of light between the forest and the open field. For this reason we would like to recommend Ultimate for all outdoor sports. Ultimate is available with three types of Reactiv photochromic lenses in the exclusive NXT material and in the version with Spectron3 polycarbonate lenses, with anti-fog treatment on the inside and oil-repellent on the outside to prevent the formation of spots. Reactiv Photochromic lenses adapt to different light intensities, becoming darker or lighter depending on the situation. Cleaning both types of lenses is very simple and fast.
