Line Vision 98 are all mountain skis that share construction and “vision” of the older brothers 108 and 118. The brand speaks of featherweight, and with its 1515 grams it is certainly considered a light ski for the all mountain/freeride category, while those who decide to use them for touring does that for other qualities. In fact, the model during our tests shone for its versatility, stability and maneuverability: it is an efficient ski that does not destroy the legs and that allows the skier to use the saved energy to jump and have fun until the last corner. Line’s Partly Cloudy Core is engineered with a blend of lightweight woods that creates an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, while the Triple Hybrid Construction adds power and stiffness to the ski. The result is a fun and easy-to-ski model that floats well on powder, responds quickly in both turns and jumps. The only terrain on which it does not shine is the track, where its lightness makes itself felt. The rocker at the tip and tail make it a ski that performs well on all types of snow and the early taper on both ends of the ski provides a lightweight feel in all conditions. You don’t have to be a rider with a lot of experience to enjoy and make the most of these skis: sure, their shape and flex certainly suit a freerider with a playful style, but any skier looking for something that will allow him to ski without too many thoughts will have a lot of fun with these Vision 98.

We Like: The ability to adapt to any type of skier without losing its best qualities.
