Ortovox Trad 28 is a lightweight and versatile climbing backpack, like the whole Trad line. Conceived and designed to offer all the technical details that give the mountaineer what he needs for climbing on rock and ice, activities that require a lot of stowable material during the approach phase and a light and essential backpack when climbing. Removing the removable internal frame is extremely flexible, but it is rigid in order to support as much weight as possible. We tried to remove the frame and the abdominal belt equipped with a pocket for objects and equipment, and the weight was reduced to just 700 grams. It features a top lid with key ring where you can store small items to keep close at hand, while the main compartment is easily accessible thanks the large opening with zip. Made of sturdy 420D ripstop, with 88% recycled polyamide, it resists abrasion on rocky terrains. The attachment for two ice axes and the retractable rope strap under the top lid are also very convenient. The helmet net is bound (and cannot be lost) and hidden in a special zip pocket. It is compatible with the hydration system. Other noteworthy aspects are the emergency card and the sternal strap with an emergency whistle.

We Like: Zip for a quick access to the contents (for example crampons) and sustainability, thanks to the recycled polyamide.
