The new environmentally friendly boots by SCARPA have arrived

Scarpa presents two models made from a natural material in collaboration with Arkema.

Performance and sustainability are two key points in the philosophy of SCARPA which, for almost 90 years, has been one of the leading companies in the sector for the production of footwear for outdoor activities. To give even greater importance to environmental protection, the Asolo-based company has launched two new eco-boot models for men and women.

Maestrale and Gea are designed for a public full of desire to tackle snowy mountains while having fun and maintaining a high level of attention to sustainability. A key feature of these creations is Pebax, a material of vegetable origin, obtained from castor seed oil from Gujarat, which gives the boots extreme lightness but does not skimp on performance and resistance.

The use of this new material comes from the collaboration between SCARPA and Arkema, a world leader specialised in the production of innovative and sustainable materials.
“Choosing Pebax Rnew for the production of boots means offering a 29% energy saving compared to the equivalent that would have been used with standard plastic materials, not to mention a 32% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions”, says Massimo Pellizzer, SCARPA Category Manager.

New collection is available on SCARPA’s website.
