Transgrancanaria

The collaboration with the brand is set for the next three years, a remarkable milestone for the Spanish competition, which aims to become one of the benchmark sporting events in the national scene.
Improving outdoor performance and supporting their communities are two central goals for both entities. The North Face X Transgrancanaria collaboration can only come naturally.
The North Face continues to innovate the trail running market. Products from the prestigious international brand are developed side by side with a personal team of athletes who perform the appropriate field, race and training testing. Over the years, The North Face team has climbed the ranks of trail running. Its members include four-time Transgancanaria winner Pau Capell and Brazilian athlete Fernanda Maciel, winner of the 2012 island edition, among others.
Transgrancanaria’s next birthday will be the 25th. Since its inception in 2003 by Aristo Eventos, the race has quickly established itself as one of the best-known events on the international scene. A milestone also achieved thanks to the momentum received from the partnership with The North Face, signed in 2010.

Enthusiasm is reiterated on both sides.
“We are pleased to return to support the prestigious Transgrancanaria across all distances, confirming our commitment to the promotion and visibility of trail running. Many of our athletes have achieved incredible performances over the years and we are looking forward to this evolution,” commented Michiel Cauwelier, VP Marketing, The North Face EMEA.
Fernando González, CEO of Arista Eventos: “We are really proud to bring back The North Face as the title sponsor of the Transgrancanaria. We have really happy memories of the previous sponsorship and I think reaching a new agreement with them means that we have both continued to work well and maintain stable relationships over the years, with both companies aiming to promote trail running and outdoor sports.”
Wendy Cruz, marketing manager of Transgrancanaria: “This is not only great news for our race, but also for the island. Having such an important brand sponsoring an international event in Gran Canaria will help promote our land, which is one of our team’s main goals.”
