A new year of objectives for SCARPA

12 million Euros for sustainability, internationalisation and development.

A new investment plan for SCARPA, the Italian company that is one of the leaders in the sports footwear production sector, which has allocated 12 million Euros for 2022 to develop its business, with a special focus on sustainability, internationalisation and innovation.

As far as sustainability is concerned, the brand aims to carry out a series of actions that will enable it to achieve certain ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) targets. These include the renewal and expansion of photovoltaic systems and investment in new production machinery to improve energy efficiency in manufacturing. The entire renovation process will help the Asolo-based company achieve the objectives included in their Green Manifesto signed in 2021.

The operation is also aimed at strengthening the internationalisation plan, which aims to modernise the factories in Italy, Serbia and Romania, in order to improve the quality standard of the products from both a social and environmental point of view.

Finally, a portion of the investments will be dedicated to the innovation, research and development sector, which has always been one of SCARPA’s distinctive points, and which will aim at experimenting on completely recycled and ecological materials.

“The outdoor industry is experiencing a moment of great expansion and we believe that this trend will continue in the next few years – underlines the President of SCARPA Sandro Parisotto – This renewed worldwide interest in outdoor activities gives us great confidence and encourages us to continue our policy strongly oriented towards innovation and sustainability. With the new investment plan we intend to lay the foundations to look to the future and outline the growth objectives for the coming years, aiming to increase productivity and create new virtuous business models”.
