Emilio Zamberlan

A salute to Emilio Zamberlan: the leading figure in the mountain footwear industry who shaped a lasting legacy and inspired future generations.

For Zamberlan, these are days of deep sadness.
With great sorrow Calzaturificio Zamberlan announces the passing of Emilio Zamberlan, who passed away on the night of December 23, at the age of 80.

Emilio, a leading figure in the mountain footwear industry, not only inherited the passion and values from his father and founder Giuseppe, but also propelled the company beyond national borders, successfully introducing it to markets such as Japan and the United States since the 1970s.

His foresight, dedication and vision have marked an indelible chapter in Zamberlan’s history, leaving a lasting imprint that has inspired and guided the third generation of the family, tenaciously represented by Marco and Maria, who have already been leading the company for years.

In 2007, the opening of the new store dedicated to mountain equipment and apparel, Zamberlan Mountainsport, and in 2008 the birth of AZA (Zamberlan Climbing Association), testified to Emilio’s strong bond with the territory and his passion for the mountains, values that he assiduously upheld and that are still part of the company’s DNA.

His legacy will continue to be the beating heart of the company and to inspire and guide every step of Calzaturificio Zamberlan. His absence will be deeply felt, but his contribution will forever remain a beacon for Zamberlan’s future.

At this time of great sorrow, the entire team of Calzaturificio Zamberlan huddles around his wife Marinilde, children Marco, Maria and Mara and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with Emilio.
