Cober news for the upcoming summer season SS25

Italy’s leading outdoor stick design and manufacturing brand introduces two new products for the upcoming summer season in the trekking and walking category: a shorter top-of-the-line stick for women and teens, and a new entry-level model with a premium aesthetic.

Cober is Italy’s leading designer and manufacturer of outdoor activity poles. At the Opera headquarters on the outskirts of Milan, new models are developed and manufactured in a very short industrial chain that carries out almost all stages of production in-house. Alice Covini, Cober’s global sales manager, explains, “The strategic choice to make our products in Italy not only involves the processing, stamping, coloring and assembly stages, but also the supply of aluminum.”

High Quality Materials

Cober uses only two of the finest alloys to make its sticks, from Italian suppliers. 7075, an aircraft alloy known as Ergal, offers the best ratio of weight to strength, allowing for stronger or lighter sticks to be made as needed. The other alloy is 5083, which offers excellent performance at a lower cost, ideal for entry-level poles such as the new Crater poles, an excellent investment for first-time trekkers.

The New Crater Stick

The Crater pole is the first of two new products Cober is introducing for the SS25 season. This entry-level trekking model includes top-of-the-line details, such as the Cosmonaut grip, made of two different materials and a 7° angle for an ergonomic grip that does not strain the wrist. The 5083 aluminum tubes have an adjustable length from 105 to 135 centimeters, covering the needs of a wide range of users, including women and juniors. Costanza Bacchi, global marketing manager at Cober, adds, “In addition to functional aspects, we sought premium aesthetics in an entry-level product. All tubes are painted in the same color, providing a premium aesthetic effect. In addition, Crater will be available in three different colors in natural shades to meet the needs of consumers who like to combine the cane with other elements of their outfit.”

The New Magma Stick

The Magma pole incorporates the same technical features as successful models such as Tamus and Rubus, but with a travel range from 105 cm to 125 cm, making it comfortable even for people under 160 cm tall. Equipped with the ergonomic Cosmonaut foam knob in the long version, it allows grips at different heights. Ergal 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum tubes with quick-mount system and CamLock locking lever provide an excellent seal. Thanks to their four-section construction, when folded Magmas take up very little space in the backpack or their included pouch.

The new Crater and Magma sticks will be available from March 2025 at Cober dealers and on the website!
