Colmar Again: art, design and sustainability

Thanks to a meeting with the young and talented Dutch designer Kees Dekkers , Colmar Again was born: a project that combines art and design with the aim of promoting greater awareness of environmental sustainability.

Instead of throwing away discarded or defective garments, Colmar Again gives them a second life inside the No Waste Chair. This is a container chair made of recycled transparent plexiglass, which makes the recycled content of the chair visible and concrete.

The Colmar Again project is a manifesto against waste and a push toward greater circularity in the production chain. It is a creative way to reduce waste and give new life to things through art, looking them straight in the face or, in this case, sitting on them.

During the Salone del Mobile(April 17-23), 20 unique chairs will be on display at the store in Milan‘s Piazza Gae Aulenti. Each chair will be filled in a different way and will be photographed in particular locations by photographer Paolo Belletti to further emphasize the project and keep it alive after the exhibition.
