Deuter boasts important partnerships, such as its membership in the Fair Wear Foundation since 2011 and the bluesign system since 2008, which emphasize its commitment to ethical labor and environmental practices. The company places a strong emphasis on the durability and functionality of its products, offering a lifetime repair service and using recycled and certified materials to ensure compliance with environmental and ethical standards. Since 2015, deuter has used only high-quality feathers certified to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS), which ensures strict animal welfare and husbandry practices throughout the production chain. In 2019, Deuter eliminated the use of PFC/PFAS, environmentally toxic substances, from waterproofing agents, replacing them with harmful substance-free finishes, maintaining the products’ high performance in water and dirt resistance.
