La Sportiva reveals Spring/Summer 2024 collection at OutDoor by ISPO

From June 4-6, the Trentino-based company was present in Munich to preview new products for the upcoming spring/summer season, focusing on new technologies and innovative materials. The main goal in terms of sustainability is circularity andextending the life cycle of products.

There are innovations in all product categories, starting withclimbing, La Sportiva’s core business, where craftsmanship and made-in-Italy production are synonymous with global success. For spring/summer 2024, there is a focus on revamping the entire No-Edge line, a proprietary technology developed for climbers looking for smoother, more intuitive, natural and fun climbing. Due to the edgeless construction, this technology offers greater sensitivity and adaptability in supports in both indoor and outdoor environments. The line features the aesthetic renewal of iconic models such as Futura, Genius, Mantra and Gripit, as well as the introduction of Mandala, the most supportive model in the No-Edge range. This shoe is dedicated to the modern climber, with every detail designed to maximize performance, even on the most complex projects.

Great anticipation is also reserved for the new models in the Mountain Running category, Prodigio and Levante. Prodigy is a novelty in ultra-distance running that introduces for the first time the use of XFLow foam in the midsole, designed and developed to provide maximum cushioning, fluidity during running and springback during pushing. The shoe has been extensively lab tested, by a large team of athletes and testers, and has all the characteristics to become a must-have. Levante, on the other hand, represents the fruit of a long collaborative project with the athletes of the La Sportiva team, who contributed to the creation of a product created to meet their needs in every detail. Lightweight, supportive and comfortable, Levante is the ideal shoe for long-distance running thanks to the combination of sustainable materials such as XFLow foam and Trail Rocker treads.

La Sportiva also unveils a new model of Bushido, a landmark for sky runners that turns 10 years old in 2024. Bushido III comes with new graphics while maintaining the renowned comfort, precision fit and stability on the move. The model is now lighter and more breathable, and is also offered in a “wide fit” variant for a more generous fit.

In the Mountain Hiking category, the new entries are Aequilibrium Trek GTX and Aequilibrium Hike GTX. These models, equipped with Double-Heel technology derived from Mountaineering, are designed to provide greater comfort and protection, reducing the feeling of fatigue during stance and offering greater stability and braking on descents. They are ideal for hiking and backpacking activities and offer the possibility of being resuited, representing a new milestone in a fast-growing industry.

In the apparel industry, the major focus is on functionality and the search for increasingly sustainable materials and processes. La Sportiva presents its growth path at OutDoor by ISPO, using organic cotton and, for the first time, recycled cotton, as well as synthetics whose recycled content is present in86 percent of the garments in the collection. These important numbers already set as a goal for the future the implementation of circularity of garments through recycling and extension of their life cycle.

A key element in this conscious business strategy is the exclusive EVO SHELL membrane, already tested and featured in garments in the Fall/Winter collection, which offers a water resistance of 20,000 water columns, is fully waterproof and windproof, 100 percent PTFE- and PFC-free, and highly breathable. In addition, it is made from 100% recycled materials, single-component and fully recyclable. Thanks to the project to offset CO2 emissions during production, packaging and transportation, supported by ClimatePartner, La Sportiva Evo Shell garments are carbon neutral.

Prominent among the garments in the X-Cursion summer collection is the Discover Shell Jacket, which uses Evo Shell membrane fabrics. The collection also includes revamped L4 line items such as Across Lite Jacket and Across Lite Vest, which are made from recycled materials and are particularly practical to fold up and carry in a backpack without taking up too much space. These products, thanks to the innovative Vapovent Light technology, offer lightness and breathability without padding.

The Alpine Tech line, dedicated to mountaineering, continues to have a presence with highly technical clothing. This collection was first presented during the last edition of ISPO and is reintroduced in the Spring/Summer 2024 collection with the unchanged claim of“Performance Uncompromised,” offering lightweight, technical, high-performance clothing for light and fast mountain living.

The Climbing collection evolves along with the sport discipline itself. Climbing Competition is the new specialized line born from collaboration with Olympic athletes, a clear signal that climbing is a focus for the company, which has always recognized its values, community and development opportunities. As for garments intended for outdoor use, the new Sierra Rock Pant, made from 85 percent recycled cotton and reinforced with hemp fiber, is the perfect blend of comfort, functionality, breathability and style.

.

The Mountain Running accessories offering expands, with a specific focus on short, medium and ultra distances. There are 5L and 10L capacity utility bands and trail vests, which provide maximum comfort and dry quickly both during fast training sessions and on adventures over 50 km.

All these innovations are previewed at OutDoor by ISPO at MOC – Messe München Event Center, Hall H3.202.
